Mesut Ozil says he is “deeply disappointed” that Arsenal failed to “reciprocate” his love and hard work for the club by offering him a place on their Premier League side.

‘I was no longer allowed to play’
Ozil seemed to lose his words in his statement, where he explained his perspective on his disappearance from Arsenal.
“Before the breakdown of the coronavirus I was very happy with my development with our new coach Mikel Arteta – We have been on a positive path and I would say that my performances were at a really good level, ”added Ozil.
“But then things changed, again, and I was no longer allowed to play football at Arsenal.
“What else can I say? London still feels like home, I still have a lot of good friends on this team and I still feel a strong connection to the fans of this club.
“Whatever happens, I will keep fighting for my chance and I won’t let my eighth season at Arsenal end like this.
“I can promise you that this difficult decision will not change anything in my way of thinking; I will continue to train to the best of my ability and whenever possible I will use my voice against inhumanity and for justice.”
The snub means that Ozil can only play U23 soccer until the end of the season, when his contract expires.
