SINGAPORE – More restrictions will be lifted on key events as Singapore continues on the path to phase three of its reopening, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement on Tuesday (October 20).

Wedding receptions will soon be allowed in the common areas of the Housing Board managed by the municipalities, such as empty terraces.
The Health Ministry said receptions should be organized by a professional wedding planner or a company that provides related services, and the Malaysian Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) will help facilitate such receptions.
Regardless of ethnicity, couples and wedding planners will need to first submit event details to SMCCI and obtain a letter of appreciation.
They can do it from November 9. Once completed, they may proceed to submit their applications to the City Council.
The Health Ministry emphasized that the maximum number of people who can attend the wedding reception is 100, including the couple but excluding providers, and that safe distancing measures will continue to be applied.

Beginning November 1, live performances can resume at designated locations, with up to two zones and each with a maximum of 50 people in the audience.
