SINGAPORE – A man taken out of the Marina Reservoir near the Promontory on Monday morning (October 19) was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Police said they received a call for assistance at 11 Marina Boulevard at 8:44 a.m. M.
Officers from the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF), who received a call about six minutes later, were initially unable to find the man when they arrived.
Divers from the Disaster Rescue and Assistance Team (DART) were then deployed to conduct an underwater search, the SCDF said.
Subsequently, the divers recovered a body about two meters from the shore.
Police investigations are ongoing.
