Netizens were shocked when they saw a video of a bat eating bananas at the FairPrice store in Block 345 Jurong East Street 31.
The video has raised concern since it began circulating online on Friday (October 16).

“It looks like this bat is enjoying a fruit feast at FairPrice,” said Stomper Toni.
In response to a query from Stomp, FairPrice said it is aware of a video circulating on social media of a bat eating a comb of bananas at night at its 24-hour store located at Block 345 Jurong East Street 31.
A spokesperson for FairPrice added: “This incident occurred outside the store where the fruits were displayed.
“Since then, we have moved all the fruits inside the store to prevent them from being produced in the future, and controls have also been carried out to ensure that the affected fruits have been discarded.”
FairPrice said it is also in contact with authorities to investigate the cause of the presence of bats in the area.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the spokesperson told Stomp.
