SINGAPORE – Mediacorp host Quan Yifeng and her actress daughter Eleanor Lee are reported to have had a fight with Addy Lee, the best friend of Quan, the longtime celebrity stylist.
In photos uploaded to Instagram of Eleanor Lee from her 21st birthday party on Monday (October 12), she was seen celebrating the occasion with her mother and local celebrities from host Dasmond Koh’s entertainment agency Noontalk. Koh, who was also present in the photos, hosted the party for Lee.
But her godfather Addy Lee was nowhere in sight and was not mentioned in a long caption that also accompanied the photos. He also didn’t wish Eleanor Lee a happy birthday on any social media account.
According to the local Chinese newspaper Shin Min Daily News, Quan and her daughter unfollowed Addy Lee on Instagram and has not liked any of Eleanor Lee’s posts since August this year.
This has drawn attention as the mother-daughter pair is very close to Addy Lee, whom Quan has known for more than 20 years.
Eleanor Lee, who is Quan’s daughter with her ex-husband, actor Peter Yu, even took her godfather’s last name at their 14th birthday party.
Addy Lee declined to comment when asked by the media, but Quan told Lianhe Wanbao that the friends are for life and that her relationship with Lee is still going well.
He said they have been less in contact as both sides are busy, but there were no disputes between them. She added that she had unfollowed Addy Lee on Instagram for some time and that the number of people Lee follows on her account fluctuates in numbers.
Wanbao reported that rumors of a fight between Quan and Addy Lee could have emerged when her daughter posted online a photo she had taken with Lee’s competitor, famous hairstylist David Gan, about two months ago.
Quan said her daughter had collaborated with Gan for work and Quan didn’t think Addy Lee would care.
