SINGAPORE: Four people, including a 12-year-old boy, were arrested on Tuesday (October 13) for their alleged involvement in a robbery case with casualties, police said in a press release.

The three boys and one girl are between 12 and 16 years old.

According to the police, they received a report on Thursday night around 11:35 pm that a 64-year-old taxi driver had been “mugged and robbed” by four unknown men after he had dropped them off at Sungei Tengah Road.

Through investigations and images from CCTV footage and police cameras, officers established the identities of the four suspects and captured them on Tuesday.

Preliminary investigations showed that three of the youths were also believed to be involved in a separate burglary case reported along 7 Choa Chu Kang Avenue, police said.

The four suspects will be charged Wednesday with robbery with damage. If convicted, they could face a jail term of between five and 20 years, and at least 12 strokes of the baton.
