SINGAPORE – Cross-border travel for essential commercial and official purposes between Singapore and Indonesia will resume, with travel requests starting on October 26.
In a statement on Monday (October 12), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said that the negotiations between the governments of both countries on the establishment of a Reciprocal Greenway (RGL) have been concluded. Indonesia will also refer to the RGL as a Travel Corridor Agreement (TCA), the MFA said.
“The RGL / TCA will allow cross-border travel for essential commercial and official purposes to resume between the two countries. Applicants eligible for the RGL / TCA are Indonesian citizens, as well as citizens and residents of Singapore, ”said the MFA. “These travelers will be required to comply with COVID-19 prevention and public health measures mutually agreed upon by both countries, including COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) smear testing prior to departure and after departure. arrival of mutually recognized health institutions. “
