Police are investigating an incident involving a student who was caught on camera repeatedly hitting his mother, Stomp was told in response to questions.

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to a TikTok video of the incident that has been circulating on social media.

The video has a timestamp of September 29 at 9:21 PM.

In the video, a young male at a Geylang Blue Methodist school (junior high) can be seen talking to a woman sitting on the floor. The woman addresses herself as ‘mom’ throughout the video.

At one point, the young man is seen slapping his mother repeatedly as she exclaims, “No! I’m doing this for you, you must feel appreciated, you know,” and tries to push him away.

She also says, “Come and do it yourself, are you fed up or not?” and “Keep calling me faster, faster, faster”, which each slap him again.

“Slap, slap! Slap, slap!” the woman is heard screaming.

The child then says, “I tell you how many times already,” to which his mother replies, “So how do you treat Mom?”

In response to an inquiry from Stomp, the police confirm that a report was filed and that investigations are ongoing.

When contacted by Stomp, the school declined to comment, citing that the matter is currently under police investigation.

However, a screenshot circulating online with the TikTok video shows what appears to be an email from the school principal.

In the screenshot seen by Stomp, the principal said that the school is aware of the matter and is currently investigating it.

“We are in contact with the child and his parents,” added the director.

“The boy regrets what he had done and the school is working with him, his parents and the police to solve his family problems.”
