At one point, a bag of baked goods had been hanging from the front doors of Mary’s Delights home bakery.

The next, it disappeared, and not because the rightful owner came to pick it up.

The baker, who refused to be identified, came home to a great surprise last Friday (September 25) when she discovered that the bag she left at the door was missing even though the customer had not yet shown up.

In his Facebook post that night, he shared how he had embarked on a futile search, only to find the remains of the stolen goods strewn across the stair landing of his HDB block.

“[In all] my 9 years in this line of business … the whole self-collection has been very easy, “he wrote.” But today, the contactless pickup failed when the item was lost. “

The baker explained how her customer had originally arranged to pick up the order at 3pm that day. However, the client was late and the home baker had to pick up her son from school. As such, he left the product bag hanging on his door before leaving for the customer to pick it up.

When the baker came home around 4.50 pm, she noticed that the bag was missing. Believing that the customer had already picked up the order, the baker did not think much about it, until the customer informed him that they were heading home.

Realizing that the goods had been stolen, he immediately ran out to find them but soon found out where they had gone, he claimed in his post.

In the attached photos, the treats were taken out of the box and the contents of each individual tub were cleaned inside. The baker also found one of the unceremoniously discarded tubs in the basket of a child’s bicycle.

“Who in [the] Would the right frame of mind do such a thing with food? The baker asked.

While police told AsiaOne that a report has been filed and investigations are ongoing, the baker has since made the decision to allow customers to only pick up themselves during their previously reserved space to prevent a repeat. the incident.

“I forgive whoever did it, who are we to hold so much hatred and grudge against someone?” added in a follow-up post. “Let’s take this as a lesson, for you and me. With food, it’s best to keep them inside. As some have mentioned, what happens if you get poisoned?”
