With so many beauty service options these days, it’s not uncommon for salons to offer cheap prices to attract customers.
Sometimes it turns out to be a win-win situation, but other times, it’s a disaster.
A pair of Stompers alerted Stomp to their ‘nightmare’ experiences after getting eyelash extensions at a hair salon in Parklane Shopping Mall.
Stomper Bibi He told Stomp that he visited Diva Lash and Nails on September 7 at 2 pm and paid a $ 40 promotional price to get the lash extensions.
“It usually takes two to three hours,” he said.
“The fastest I’ve done before is an hour, but they did mine in 15 minutes.”
Bibi, who is also a lash technician, said there is “no way” to complete a set of lashes in 15 minutes.
“They used masking tape to blindfold their clients and their place was not disinfected.
“There were no disposable sheets on the bed and the clients shared the same blanket, bed and pillow.”
Stomper Chels told Stomp that when he visited the same salon, the lashes were glued to his lids instead of his lashes.
“My upper lashes were glued to my lower lashes,” she said.
“It was ripped apart with tweezers, even when I flinched, she continued to do the same.
“I literally thought my heart was going to jump.
“This happened on both sides.
“My right eyelid was swollen when I was at home.
“It was also the same side where most of my lashes fell off first.
“The first night, without even touching my lashes, one of them was dangling.”
Bibi also shared similar experiences on her Facebook page of what other clients had to say about Diva Lash and Nails services.
“It will be a lesson not to cheat on my lash girl again,” Chels said.
“Ladies, if you think this is cheap, it is not (considering how long they last and how uncomfortable it is).”
