SINGAPORE: A new collaboration between Mediacorp, real estate agency PropNex and real estate portal 99.co will see the launch of a virtual property exhibition next month.
The Singapore Property Show 2020, which runs from October 10 to December 4, will feature nearly 20 recently launched projects. The collaboration was announced at a PropNex virtual convention on Tuesday (September 16).
Hosted on 99.co, the virtual property expo will see narrated virtual tours embedded in each project listing rather than physical tours, according to a PropNex press release.
Property buyers can tour multiple exhibition floors “without the health risk and hassle” of site visits, 99.co CEO Darius Cheung said.
“Our technology enables a rich virtual viewing experience that is much more convenient, but no less informative than physical ones,” Cheung added.

Tools like instant mortgage calculators will help consumers make more informed property decisions, while consumers can also access information about the real estate market in articles and online videos, PropNex said.
The firm also said that it will conduct weekly webinars for consumers to gain first-hand knowledge and real estate investment strategies from industry players.

The collaboration enables PropNex “to offer more property options to a larger audience, making it the largest virtual property exhibition,” said PropNex CEO Ismail Gafoor.
Mediacorp’s Chief Digital and Commercial Officer Parminder Singh said: “The Singapore Property Show 2020 will allow property buyers to make informed decisions by providing a single portal for credible content and expert information.
“This exciting virtual initiative will also provide an engaging and immersive experience for home buyers.”
More details will be announced closer to the launch of the exhibition.
