Many companies have had to adapt and make changes when the coronavirus pandemic hit Singapore. And for the previously wandering Teochew Meat Puff, the big change they have made is that they now have a permanent home after 30 years of showing up in different locations in Singapore.

The popular store that used to move from malam to malam moved to Wave 9 at Woodlands Industrial Park E9 as announced on their Facebook page yesterday (Sept 15).

Operations will begin on September 17, 10 a.m. M. At 8 p. M. For now and if you want to get your hands on them, there is only one way: go there yourself. The store will not accept pre-orders or online orders.

The menu is simple: They sell Fuzhou oyster cakes with a variety of filling options, including pork, shrimp, octopus, and scallops. And if you were wondering, the ‘Teochew’ in the name is simply because that’s the dialect group that business owners belong to.

Oyster cakes have ranged from $ 1.80 to $ 3.50 a piece in the past, but it is not yet known if the prices will remain the same.

And each one is freshly made as the order arrives. They often attract long lines at malams, with customers waiting up to an hour to get their hands on the puff.

However, if you are afraid of having to wait a long time after traveling north just to buy your oyster cakes, don’t worry. The owner has put in place a receipt system so you can sit down and even order a cup of coffee while waiting for your food.
