Has someone ever pulled into your lane abruptly without signaling?
Stomper Kumarajan I had, and I wasn’t happy about it.
Kumarajan told Stomp that a black Mercedes-Benz pickup tried to pull into his lane along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) on Friday (September 11).
He also sent video images recovered from his car camera.
“The truck to my left was behind a truck when the driver of the truck suddenly veered into my lane,” Stomper said.
“I had to swerve to the right to avoid a collision.
“He clearly didn’t check the traffic.
“This driver is a very dangerous road user with no road manners. He poses a serious threat to other road users.”
Kumarajan also added that this was the first time he had encountered such a driver on the road.
“I’ve never seen a driver do a last-second filter to get into another lane before,” he said.
“It is obvious that he did not check first and assumed that others would give way.
“This is the type of driver who will cause fatal traffic accidents.
“I feel that the Traffic Police should take serious action and sanction these drivers.
“For all those irresponsible drivers, signal early if not, no one will realize your intentions on the road.”
