Aliff’s attorney, lead attorney Murali Pillai, told Chief District Judge Victor Yeo that he would be advocating a short jail sentence and a fine.
The judge granted Deputy Prosecutor Pavithra Ramkumar’s request to postpone the sentence until Tuesday. Aliff also admitted to another theft charge, which will be considered at sentencing as part of her plea deal.
The MTO is a community sentencing option for mentally ill offenders, who must attend mandatory treatment sessions with psychiatrists for up to three years in lieu of jail.

The court previously heard that around midnight on June 7 last year, Aliff met with Indonesian celebrity Raja Yunika Perdhana Putri in his room at the Studio M Hotel. The couple discussed how she could help him advance his singing career in Indonesia.
When she went to the second level of her hotel room to rest, Aliff stole 1 million Indonesian rupees (S $ 92) and $ 300 from her bag on the first floor and left. She changed the foreign currency and spent the money on food and transportation.

The singer-actor was in trouble with the law again when he was found drunk and behaving in a disorderly manner outside Orchard Towers around 6.25 a.m. on November 10 last year.
Two police officers saw a commotion under a link bridge around 5.30am. Aliff, who was drunk, was seen screaming and gesticulating wildly while surrounded by a crowd of people, some of whom were trying to calm him down.
The officers asked Aliff to calm down and he obeyed. They followed him as he walked away to keep an eye on him.
At around 6.25am, Aliff was seen behaving loudly again: he kicked the left front of a taxi, which was not damaged. This time, Aliff ignored the officers’ instructions to calm down. Later he met an acquaintance on the street and got into a fight with him.
