They are out on bail in connection with investigations of crimes under Section 6 (b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, the group said in a regulatory update.

Ms. Chua, Mr. Lee, and Group Senior Sales Manager Alvin Chiao Shan Ren were interviewed by the CPIB on or about September 10 regarding entertainment expenses and sales commissions related to certain projects carried out by Q’son Kitchen Equipment, a wholly owned subsidiary.

The group, through Q’son, offers commercial and industrial kitchen solutions for the food and beverage service and hospitality industries. Ms. Chua is also the CEO of Q’son.

Singapore Kitchen Equipment said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed against Ms. Chua, Mr. Lee and Mr. Chiao as of Sunday. Its nominating committee believes that the trio remains competent and that it would be in the best interest of the group that they continue to fulfill their responsibilities and duties in operating the group’s businesses.
