SINGAPORE: Two shopping malls, Waterway Point in Punggol and Clementi Mall, were added to the list of public places visited by community cases of COVID-19 during their infectious period, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Sunday (September 13) .

Tekka Center was also added to the list, along with The Spread Cafe at the National University of Singapore Business School at 15 Kent Ridge Drive. Coffee was listed three times on separate days.

Those who have been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in those places during the specified hours should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of their visit, the Health Ministry said.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure,” he added. .

The ministry said that it is not necessary for people to avoid places that have been visited by COVID-19 cases, and that the National Environment Agency will contract with the management of affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

Singapore reported 49 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including one in the community and eight imported infections.
