HDB 6-Story Mailbox Master Doors in Choa Chu Kang forcibly Opened – SingPost

SINGAPORE – SingPost is working with police on an alleged vandalism case in Choa Chu Kang, where it was discovered that the main doors of the mailbox of six floors of houses were forced open on Friday morning (September 11).

A spokesperson for SingPost said the incident was reported by a city hall staff at around 5.30am and involved Blocks 706, 707 and 708 Choa Chu Kang Street 53, as well as Blocks 756, 757 and 758 Choa Chu Kang North. 5.

“Two Post Office inspectors were immediately dispatched to the affected blocks, where the locking mechanisms of the main doors were found to have been tampered with and damaged,” the spokesman said.

The affected locks were repaired and the main doors were secured at 7 a.m. Friday.

“It was found that a mark on the mailboxes of all the other blocks in the area was not affected. SingPost is currently working closely with the police on this possible case of vandalism, ”added the spokesperson.

Residents of the affected blocks who suspect their mail has been affected can contact the Choa Chu Kang Neighborhood Police Center at 1800 765 9999, SingPost said.

He added that the public with information on this matter should contact the police.
