A J&T Express driver received a formal warning after leaving a box of packages unattended in the elevator lobby of Blk 735 Woodlands Circle on Tuesday (September 8).

Stomper the alerted Stomp to the incident and sent photos of the unattended box that he saw at 5.45pm

“My husband and I were going to buy dinner. When we got off the elevator on level one, we saw an unattended box and we were surprised to see so many packages of Shopee in it,” Az said.

“We did not dare to touch any of the items but I did take some photos of the box.

“I noticed the packages were from J&T Express. What if someone else sees them and takes the merchandise?

“It doesn’t matter how cheap or expensive the items are. Negligence is the problem here.

“I hope that all online platforms and local courier services will strive to maintain good services and take special care when handling customer orders.”

In response to a query from Stomp, a J&T Express spokesperson said: “We have investigated this incident and have found that the driver has not followed our strict operating procedures and has therefore been issued a formal warning.”

“Safe handling of our clients’ packages is our top priority and we would like to sincerely apologize to our clients for this procedural breach.

“Moving forward, we are focused on making sure we remind our drivers through regular trainings and information sharing sessions about the standards they must adhere to.”
