Danny Rose called in José Mourinho for face-off talks to discuss his lack of playing time at Tottenham before his January departure.

Rose, notoriously outspoken, requested a meeting with Mourinho after he was left out of the team for the 0-0 draw at Watford in January. That talk served as a precursor to his loan transfer to Newcastle next week.
Rose opened the procedure by asking Mourinho “what is the problem”. And after the Portuguese questioned what he wanted to say, Rose replied: “You know exactly what I mean.
“How they treat me. I was very excited when you came as a coach, but if you don’t want me to play. I’d rather you tell me now and I’ll stay home, master. I’ll train at home. “
Mourinho explained that he chose Rose for the game against Liverpool and that he did not play well.
Rose replied: “I respect what you say that I did not play well against Liverpool, which is true. But I play once every four weeks. Do you want me to be the man of the match and perform my best when I play a match every three or four weeks? The defense has kept two clean sheets. They play all the games. It’s not fair.

After Mourinho replied with “that’s your perspective,” Rose lost her cool and said she wanted to speak with President Daniel Levy before leaving.

Rose, in a separate interview for the documentary, explained his frustration at seeing Jan Vertonghen and Japhet Tanganga getting ahead of him.
“I have spent almost my entire professional career at this club and I wish I was involved,” he said.
“I fully believe in myself that I am Tottenham’s best left-back. I can’t see center-backs and right-footed center-backs play in my position. It’s a slap, basically. “
Rose got her meeting with Levy, albeit in the players’ canteen, where the president explained that Bournemouth and Newcastle wanted to sign him on loan, but AC Milan was no longer on the hunt.
