McDonald’s customer calls other customers for being ‘socially irresponsible’ as a joke, but netizens are not amused

A man sparked outrage online after calling McDonald’s customers for being ‘socially irresponsible’ by not staying home , even though he probably intended to be ironic.

The fury started when the man posted a series of Instagram Stories, where he shared photos of people queuing at McDonald’s and called them “socially irresponsible.”

In an image of the queue at an unidentified McDonald’s point of sale, he wrote: “Seriously, can you stay home or not? Never eat McDonald’s you will die.”

However, it can also be seen clearly in the tail.

Another image shows the man with his McDonald’s order after a 35-minute wait and says, “It would have been much faster if people were mature enough to stay home.”

A Stomper, who asked to remain anonymous because he was “sadly” familiar with the Instagram user, sent screenshots of the man’s posts.

The Stomper said: “He called all the other socially irresponsible customers when he was there with them, too. Oh, the irony.”

However, it appears that the Instagram user was trying to be ironic and mocking himself, according to Mustsharenews.com.

Supposedly, the photo of him holding his McDonald’s order was supposed to be the key phrase, which most people couldn’t catch.

Facebook page SG Dirty Fella also shared screenshots of the Man’s Instagram Stories in a post on Wednesday (May 13) that has since amassed more than 4,700 shares.

In the hundreds of comments, many people seemed upset with the man and criticized him for being “a pot that calls for the black kettle.”

Some, however, were aware of man’s less malicious intent.

One user said he felt “bad” for whoever took the screenshots without receiving the “joke”.

Meanwhile, a handful saw no humor in the posts.

A netizen described the man’s sense of humor as “out of control” and said the alleged sarcasm flew over her.

Another, we could very legitimately add, joked: “Sarcasm is not for everyone.”

The Instagram user himself seems to be aware of the backlash.

Before making his account private, he shared a screenshot of SG Dirty Fella’s post and wrote on Instagram Stories in the same self-deprecating tone: “I’m a dirty boy.”
