Police investigate murder of man stabbed in Punggol camp, Singapore News

A 38-year-old man who jogged to the Punggol camp yesterday (May 10) died after being attacked.

A mugger stabbed him multiple times with a knife and collapsed in a pool of blood at a bus stop in front of Block 227A Sumang Lane, Lianhe Zaobao reported.

Paramedics took him to Sengkang General Hospital, where he died of serious injuries.

The crime scene was cordoned off for investigations after the attack, and vehicles that entered the area were rejected, according to CNA.

Pasir Ris-Punggol deputy Sun Xueling expressed her condolences to the victim’s loved ones in a Facebook post today (May 11), adding that police are reviewing nearby camera footage.

“We understand residents’ concerns regarding public safety. I have spoken to the police to intensify patrols in the surrounding area,” he wrote.

Police have classified the case as murder and investigations are ongoing.
