SINGAPORE – The Ministry of Health (MINSA) confirmed the detection of another five cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore as of noon on Sunday (October 25), bringing the country’s total case count to (57,970).

Two of the cases are local broadcasts and both reside in migrant worker dormitories. There are no new community cases, the ministry said.

The remaining three cases are imported, all of which were placed on the Home Stay Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

In its late-night update on Saturday, the Health Ministry said that two community cases announced on the same day were employed at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport. One is a security officer who had gone to work prior to admission to the hospital, while the other case is a temperature tester and swab assistant at Raffles Medical in Terminal 3.

The two had not interacted with each other and epidemiological investigations have not established any link between them, the ministry added. As a precautionary measure, all people working in Terminal 3 who may have contact with travelers will be screened for COVID-19.
