SINGAPORE: On Thursday (January 21), three more COVID-19 cases were linked to the BS Industrial & Construction Supply cluster, bringing the total number of cases to seven.
The Ministry of Health (MINSA) reported 38 new cases on Thursday, including four in the community, of which three are linked to the cluster.
Case 59512 is a 43-year-old Singaporean. She is the wife of Case 59429, a 39-year-old permanent resident who works as a sales staff for BS Industrial & Construction Supply in Kallang Place.
He works from home as an online trader and does not physically interact with his clients.

She was quarantined on January 18, when her spouse was confirmed to have the COVID-19 infection. She was then tested on January 20 despite being asymptomatic.
The test result came back positive the same day and she was taken to the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
Your serological test result was negative, indicating that it is probably a current infection.
Case 59513 is a 46-year-old Malaysian with a work pass. He works as a sales staff at Toppan Merrill at 3 Church Street, but does not interact with customers.
She is a domestic contact for Case 59474, a 28-year-old Malaysian citizen who works as a finance staff at BS Industrial & Construction.

She developed a stuffy nose on January 19 and stayed home for most of the day.
As she had been identified as a close contact in Case 59474, the Ministry of Health contacted her on January 20 and quarantined her.
She reported her symptoms and was taken to Sengkang General Hospital, where she was tested for COVID-19. His test came back positive the same day.
Your serological test result has been negative.
Case 59516 is a 35-year-old permanent Singapore resident working as a sales staff at BS Industrial & Construction Supply. He is a collaborator in Case 59429.
On January 18, he developed a sore throat, but did not seek medical treatment.

As he had been identified as a close contact in case 59429, the Ministry of Health contacted him the same day, but did not report his symptoms.
On January 20, he was tested for COVID-19 while in quarantine. His result was positive the same day and he was transferred to the National University Hospital.
The result of your serological test is pending.
On Wednesday, the Health Ministry said investigations are underway to assess whether there was a violation of safe management measures on the staff of BS Industrial & Construction Supply.
THE CLUSTERS UNTIL NOW
The group linked to a 32-year-old para-vet in the K-9 police unit, which was reported as the only community case on January 14, was first established on Sunday.
So far, six other cases have been linked to the group, including the wife of the para-vet, an administrative officer in the K-9 unit, the wife of the administrative officer and their eight-year-old son.

Another group, involving a 33-year-old food processing worker at Golden Bridge Foods Manufacturing whose infection was reported on January 16, was formed on Tuesday.
The group includes two others that were reported as community cases Tuesday; one is his co-worker and housemate, and the other is the 33-year-old’s wife.
On Wednesday, the Health Ministry identified a group linked to a 39-year-old sales staff from BS Industrial & Construction Supply. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 on January 18.
The cluster now has seven cases, five of which work for the same company.
