SINGAPORE: Three locations at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) were added to the list of public places visited by COVID-19 cases in the community during its infectious period, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday (September 8).

Two of NTU’s locations are restaurants in the university’s North Spine Plaza: the food court there and Paik’s Bibim. The third location is also a food establishment, Quad Cafe at NTU’s School of Biological Sciences.

Other places on Tuesday’s list include Apgujeong Hair Studio at JEM and Vision Exchange at 2 Venture Drive.

Pinnacle @ Duxton was also added to the list, while Yuhua Market & Hawker Center appeared twice.

Those who have been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in those places during the specified hours should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of their visit, the Health Ministry said.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure,” he added. .

The ministry said there is no need for people to avoid places that have been frequented by COVID-19 cases and that the National Environment Agency will hire the management of affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

Singapore reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 as of noon Tuesday, including one imported case and none in the community.
