It was a chaotic confrontation on Marine Terrace when two groups with a bone to choose between them took matters into their own hands, literally, despite the two police officers on the scene trying to defuse the situation.

Three women, ages 32 to 55, were arrested in a skirmish on Tuesday (October 20) after a violent fight in the vicinity of Block 13 Marine Terrace, police confirmed.

Three other people, two teenagers and a 38-year-old man, are currently under investigation, they added.

A viral clip of the fight, titled “Royal Rumb 2020”, showed two women fighting while a police officer tried to contain a third.

However, the woman quickly broke free from the officer’s grip and pounced on a fourth woman, knocking her to the ground.

Several others watched the fight from a short distance. At one point, one of them ran forward to join the fray and kicked one of the women.

The 15-second clip, which has been viewed more than 119,000 times, was cut abruptly after a second officer headed towards melee.

The two groups, a total of 11 people, had been involved in a dispute when the two officers arrived at the scene.

“Some members of both groups subsequently rebelled, despite repeated advice and interventions from the officer,” police said.

Both officers were able to finally finish the fight.

Another six officers arrived at the scene within minutes to provide assistance, police added.

Preliminary investigations found that two girls from the opposite groups, ages 14 and 15, knew each other.

The other people on the scene were his family and a friend.

The conflict stemmed from “offensive comments” made on October 19, police said.

Those convicted of skirmish face up to a year in jail, or a fine of up to $ 5,000, or both.
