SINGAPORE: 26 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Singapore as of noon on Thursday (April 1), all imported infections.
All cases were placed on stay-at-home notice upon arrival in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its preliminary daily update.
No new cases of local transmission were reported.
3 SINGAPOREANS AMONG IMPORTED CASES
Of the 26 imported cases, three are Singaporeans who had returned from Indonesia, Yemen and India. One case is a permanent resident of Singapore who had returned from Belgium.
Seventeen cases are work permit holders who came from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, of which three are foreign domestic workers.
Two cases are student pass holders who arrived from India and one is a work pass holder who arrived from Japan.
The remaining two cases are short-term visiting pass holders who came from Indonesia and India to visit their relatives, who are Singaporean.
NEW LOCATIONS
Several locations were also added to a list of places visited by COVID-19 cases during their infectious period.
They include PURE Fitness in Ngee Ann City and AKASHI Japanese restaurant in Paragon in multiple instances.
Other restaurants visited include Chang Korean BBQ in the Dempsey area, Tangles at Tanglin Club, PAUL at Ngee Ann City, and Sushi Tei at Raffles City Shopping Center.
Cherry Discotheque at 133 Cecil Street and a hair salon, Facial Body Care, at The Adelphi were also added to the list.

Twelve more cases have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, bringing Singapore’s total recoveries to 60,161.
There are 38 cases still in the hospital. Most of them are stable or improving and one is in the intensive care unit. Another 178 are being isolated and cared for in community facilities.
GREATER CAPACITY FOR SOLEMNIZATIONS, FUNERALS
Wedding solemnizations and funerals in places of worship will have a greater capacity to attend from April 24, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) said on Wednesday.
Up to 250 people will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremonies, an increase from the previous limit of 100, if the wedding couple undergoes pre-event testing, MCCY said.
The attendance limit for funerals and wakes will also increase from the current 30 to 50 attendees at any one time. However, this will only apply on the day of burial or cremation, the ministry said.

Singing will also be allowed to resume during worship services starting April 5, MCCY said, adding that parishioners will have to keep their masks on at all times while singing.
The duration of the song should also be limited to 30 minutes in a single worship service.
Religious organizations are also encouraged to implement a 2m distance between groups of up to eight worshipers if they are singing, MCCY said.
As of Thursday, Singapore has reported a total of 60,407 COVID-19 cases.
