The patient, whose case is currently unrelated, was caught when she was tested for Covid-19 prior to departure on Wednesday for a trip to Vietnam.

Her results came back positive Thursday and she was taken to the National Center for Infectious Diseases in an ambulance.

The Health Ministry said its polymerase chain reaction test returned a high cycle threshold value, indicating a low viral load. His serological test result was also positive, indicating a probable past infection.

The ministry added Downtown East, Compass One in Sengkang, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, White Sands in Pasir Ris and Raffles City Shopping Center to the list of places visited by Covid-19 patients while they were infectious.

Visits were also recorded at Eastpoint Mall in Simei, CityLink Mall, Singapore Swimming Club, Heartbeat @ Bedok and Century Square in the first two weeks of the month.
