SINGAPORE – 21 new coronavirus cases were confirmed as of Tuesday noon (September 22), bringing Singapore’s total to 57,627.

There were no new community cases for the second consecutive day.

Among these, 16 were contacts from previous cases who had already been quarantined and were evaluated during their quarantine period, the ministry said.

The remaining six cases were detected through surveillance tests, such as routine testing of workers who stayed in dormitories every fortnight.

With 60 cases discharged on Monday, 57,226 patients have made a full recovery from the disease.

A total of 36 patients remained in hospital, while 302 recovered in community facilities. None were in intensive care.
