Two Singaporeans were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking activities in a drug bust Tuesday during which $ 640,000 worth of drugs were seized, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said yesterday.

On Tuesday afternoon, authorities arrested a 30-year-old man for alleged drug trafficking activities at a development on Boon Lay Drive.

The agents took the man to his residential unit on the same farm, where a 28-year-old woman was also detained.

A search was conducted and CNB officers found 24 packages and bottles containing 1,203 g of methamphetamine, also known as Ice, 10 g of cannabis, 512 g of ketamine, 669 ecstasy tablets, and 7,502 Erimin-5 tablets.

Packing materials and cash worth $ 8,680 were also seized.

In a subsequent search, officers recovered three packages containing 1,500 g of heroin from the man’s car.

Investigations are ongoing.

The amount of heroin seized could fuel the addiction of about 715 abusers and the amount of Ice could fuel up to 690 abusers for a week, CNB said.
