SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 18 new imported cases of COVID-19 as of noon on Wednesday (November 11), the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said in a preliminary daily update.
Among the cases on Wednesday are two permanent residents of Singapore and 14 work pass holders currently employed here, including 10 foreign domestic workers. The Health Ministry did not give details of the other two cases.
All cases had already received a stay-at-home notice upon arrival, the ministry said.
No new locally transmitted infections were reported.
The new infections bring Singapore’s COVID-19 case count to 58,091.
More details of the new cases will be released Wednesday night, the Health Ministry said.

SINGAPORE, HONG KONG AIR TRAVEL BUBBLE WILL BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 22
An air travel bubble between Singapore and Hong Kong will begin on November 22, with a daily flight to each city with 200 passengers each way.
This will increase to two daily flights to each city from December 7, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said on Wednesday.

Travelers must take the dedicated flights, but will have no restrictions on the purpose of their trip and will not have to follow a controlled itinerary. They will also not be subject to quarantine or stay-at-home notice.
However, they must test negative for COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests within 72 hours prior to their scheduled departure time.
On Tuesday, Education Minister Lawrence Wong said Singapore could enter Phase 3 before the end of the year “if all the stars are aligned.”
Mr. Wong said timing “will depend” on people doing their part.
In particular, he said, Singapore needs to see increased participation in the TraceTogether program, as well as continued cooperation and compliance with all safe distancing measures in place.

“There is still some time left before the end of the year. I don’t know if all the stars can be aligned, but we continue to monitor and will give you updates if so,” said Mr. Wong.
The Health Ministry also announced Tuesday that non-Singaporean or permanent resident travelers entering Singapore from high-risk countries will be required to undergo a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours. before your departure.
This is part of Singapore’s plans to reduce the risk of imported cases from high-risk countries and regions.
The pre-departure requirement will begin on November 18.
