Britney Spears’ first husband has joined the #FreeBritney movement, appearing with fans of the star outside the LA courthouse on Wednesday when a hearing took place over her conservatory.
Describing his appearance as a ‘thing at last’, Alexander said he would bring ‘some love’ and ‘attention’ to the situation, such as ‘giving support’ to his ex.
Speaking about how his Britney has been under a conservatory, deployed in the midst of her public burglary in 2008, he wondered about it for now 12 years. He talks about some of Britney’s money being “missing” and “being spent out of her control”, under Jamie’s government, saying it was “just time to end it.”
Alexander said he “recently” returned in touch with Britney after 10 years of not talking. He said “she has reached within a few months – three months now probably – and we have been in touch. I have continued this process with her.”
He remarks, “She supports the movement,” led by fans to get her out of the conservatory. “She’s ready for the conservatory to finish.”
The videographer asked him if he would ever rekindle a romantic relationship, despite Britney having a long time relationship with Sam Asghari, and he said, ‘That’s why I’m here. As for Wednesday’s hearing, Jamie was not removed as Britney’s persona, despite her request to do so in a document submitted earlier this week. TMZ reports that the hearing was a regularly scheduled status conference and nothing about their situation has changed at this point. The discussion on the change will take place at a future hearing.
That means Jodi Montgomery, who Britney hopes to become her person’s permanent curator, will remain temporarily in the role. Montgomery took over the role in September last year due to Jamie’s persistent health problems.

Montgomery is able to communicate with doctors regarding Britney’s health, and has full access to her medical and psychiatric record amid Britney’s mental health problems. Montgomery also has the power to restrict and restrict visitors who see Britney. She can also save mantle caregivers and security guards for the star.
Jamie remains the sole conservator on Britney’s business affairs – and has been since 2008. He had a co-conservator, but that person stepped down last year.
