Studio Zevere, a one-man indie game studio, announced today during Nintendo’s Indie World showcase that its much-anticipated She Dreams Elswhere will arrive on the Nintendo Switch in early 2021, in addition to the Steam and Xbox One releases. She Dreams Elswhere will also launch on Game Pass day one.
She Dreams Elsewhere is a visually striking and – dare I say it – groovy-look turn-based RPG. It draws inspiration from old-school RPGs like Earthbound and there are even some Undertale thrown in there as well.
Here is a short synopsis of She Dreams Elswhere that comes from the press release:
She dreams somewhere else is a surreal adventure RPG that explores dreams and the extent to which they can reflect reality. Players will explore the surrealistic world as Thalia, a fear-ridden, comic woman who has fulfilled her dreams and has to confront her inner nightmares to finally wake up. Unfortunately, some nightmares are harder to confront than others … It’s a deeply personal story that deals with real-world themes such as mental health and self-identity, combined with strategic turn-based combat, mind-bending levels, and a surreal , visually striking world ripe for exploration. Welcome to your nightmare – enjoy your stay!
