Former welterweight title holder Shawn Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) returned to the winning streak last night, easily dominating Sebastian Formella (22-1, 10 KOs) over 12 full rounds of action. Porter started off fast, and basically kept up his usual pace, happily Formella who could just keep up with Porter’s offensive attack.

However, do not understand it. Formella certainly got some punches through, but he was clearly lacking in power and just couldn’t make a fuss in Porter, who was capable of both boxing and brewing.

At the end of the fight, the official judges turned in three scores of 120-108 for Porter. BLH also scored the fight a clean sheet for Porter, 120-108. Punch statistics also back up those scores, as Porter was able to land a career-high 304 total punches, while Formella came in just 148.

In the post-fight interview, Porter credits Formella as a tough, durable opponent who could take the penalty over 12 full rounds, and told the other welterweight titleholders and partners that he is still a formidable opponent to the top of the 147lb division.

Joey Spencer KO-4 Shawn West

20-year-old middleweight prospect Joey Spencer (11-0, 8 KOs) kept his perfect record intact last night, controlling the action of the opening clock against Shawn West (5-2, 3 KOs). Spencer soon revealed that his boxing foundations were head and shoulders above West, who comes from the MMA world, and touched his opponent’s head and body until he finally broke him.

In the second round, Spencer landed a nice combination that ended with a right heel that put West on his knee. West would get up and try to give it another go, but in the fourth round he was touched again, and after another combination that put him down, the referee had decided that was enough, and the fight officially ended. at 1:51 in Round 4. West was not happy with the stop, but it was really one-way traffic and a good move.

Sebatian Fundora KO-6 Nathaniel Gallimore

Junior middleweight Sebastian Fundora (15-0-1, 10 KOs) put on a dominant performance on FOX last night, easily treating Nathaniel Gallimore (21-5-1, 17 KOs) over six rounds of action before the fight was mercilessly waved by the referee.

Fundora, who is a reasonable height for a 154-pound, did not really fight to his height, but last night he certainly did not rise although he worked on the inside over Gallimore with repeated capital letters and hooks to go with the occasion right left hand. Gallimore came into the fight seemingly aware that he needed the distance to have a chance against Fundora, but even that did not work to his advantage.

By the sixth round, Fundora was just starting at Gallimore, and a few more well-placed shots damaged Gallimore badly. At that point, Gallimore was nicely beaten and the referee stepped in to officially weigh the fight on the mark of 1:28 minutes. BLH had Fundora up 49-46 on our scorecard at the time of stopping.
