The event will be Williams’ first game since helping the US team defeat Latvia at the Fed Cup in Everett, Washington, in February, where she defeated Jelena Ostapenko and was beaten by Anastasija Sevastova.

Stephens’ last touring game was a second-round loss against Canadian teenager Leylah Annie Fernández at the GNP Seguros Open in Monterrey, Mexico, in March, just days before the coronavirus pandemic forced professional tennis.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Top Seed Tennis Club from August 10-17.
