SA, a 16-year-old from Zrenjanin, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of attacking a fellow VT citizen with a knife and inflicting serious bodily injury on her.
The girl was rushed to the “Dr Djordje Jovanovic” General Hospital in Zrenjanin, where she was given first aid and a full diagnosis was made.
– The girl was admitted to the hospital with serious and life-threatening bodily injuries in the form of stab wounds to the chest area. Doctors reacted urgently, the wounds healed and the girl is now stable, out of danger and in the intensive care unit – it was briefly confirmed for “Blic” in Zrenjanin hospital.
As we learned, the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. near the flyover at Ulica 9. Januara in the Zrenjanin settlement of Bagljaš, where there was a brief fight between SA and VT, after which a minor pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the armpit.
The minor was arrested due to the rapid intervention of the Zrenjanin police, and the police ordered his detention for up to 48 hours, and will be brought before the competent investigating judge for questioning within the legal period, together with a report for the crime of attempted murder.
– For now, it is not known what motivated the conflict or if the attacker and the victim knew each other before, and the ongoing investigation will determine all the details and all the circumstances that led to this incident, a close source told “Blic” to the investigation.
