Although they have been in the technical mandate for almost 100 days, Nemanjina employees have been carrying out 11 activities regularly, says the Prime Minister. Whether she will remain in command, but also who will occupy the ministerial positions, will be known after the SNS consultations with potential partners.
“The only thing that the Government cannot do in the technical mandate is to assume responsibilities for and on behalf of the next Government, the future Government and it cannot send bills to the Assembly, which does not mean that it cannot work on bills. and prepare the whole environment for a quick start of the future government and that is what we are doing in the technical mandate. What is happening in Serbia is not really different from what is happening in Europe after the parliamentary elections, “said the Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
The picture after the parliamentary elections in the region is different: in Croatia, elections were held on July 5 and she won a new government 18 days later. A month and a half since the mid-July elections, North Macedonia has formed a government. Citizens of Montenegro at the polls on the penultimate day of August, and three weeks later the Assembly was constituted.
Members of the Serbian parliament confirmed their terms on August 3, but the parliamentary leadership is not yet known. Nor are the names of future ministers known.
“The practice of the SNS is that they themselves are not in a hurry with the formation of the Government. One part is motivated to do the best possible strategy, the other part is in a way a kind of internal logic of the SNS that insists on maintaining and producing tension “Maintaining a kind of tension that in no way allows any member or leader of the SNS relax. The SNS always sends messages that no one is safe, “said Cesid program director Bojan Klacar.
President Aleksandar Vučić also spoke several times about the government formation date: initially he announced the new cabinet for the end of July, then for the end of August and the beginning of September. The promised deadline was also missed: end of this month.
The public is also competing over who will join the coalition with the party, which won a resounding victory in the June 21 elections with 188 out of 250 parliamentary seats.
“It seems to me that the formation of this government does not differ much from the two previous post-election cycles. It seems to us that there are some conflicts between progressives and socialists, but sooner or later these conflicts are regulated, they find common interest. be in government. So it seems to me that we are closer to that scenario ”, affirms the associate professor of the Faculty of Political Sciences Dušan Spasojević.
According to the Law, the scenario and roles in the future Government must be known no later than 90 days after the constitution of the Assembly, that is, on November 3.
