Today 3,042 new patients, 20 patients died

In the previous 24 hours, 10,343 citizens were tested for the corona virus in Serbia, of which 3,042 were recently infected.

Unfortunately, 20 patients died. Currently there are 171 patients on ventilators in Serbian hospitals.

We remind you that yesterday 13,087 citizens were tested, of which 3,519 were newly infected. 17 patients died, while there were 169 on respirators.

So far, a total of 1,651,170 first doses of vaccines have been administered and 620,825 citizens have been revaccinated.

Cross section by cities:

First on the list of cities with the most infected remains Belgrade, where another 1,136 new cases have been registered.

In second place is Nis with 177, and in third place is Kragujevac, where 139 more new infected have been confirmed. Kraljevo also has a three-digit number (105).

In other places, the numbers are two digits long.

Social protection institutions

The presence of coronavirus has been confirmed in 186 users and 251 employees in social protection institutions and homes for adults and the elderly in Serbia, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans Affairs and Social Affairs announced today.

The total number of cured users of social protection institutions is 5,315 and the number of cured people employed in these institutions is 2,322.

Users of social protection institutions who are estimated to be potential carriers of the virus are in isolation, while employees of those institutions, where there is such danger, do not come to work and are in home isolation.

By the way, today new epidemiological measures are still in force and nothing is done in Serbia except grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations where only refueling is allowed.

A new crisis staff session is scheduled for Tuesday, and prof. Epidemiologist. Dr. Branislav Tiodorović said today that the medical part will require the strictest measures.

He explained that it is necessary to minimize contacts during the next week and next weekend.
