Finance Minister Siniša Mali said that 2,350,000 citizens requested this type of assistance yesterday. He claims that this shows that this measure was justified, but also that the state’s finances are solid and stable, and the crisis is behind us.
The first payment of the aid of 100 euros begins on Friday, May 15, when the aid will be paid to one million pensioners, and the rest will be paid successively, every five days.
Siniša Mali expects that since the application deadline is June 5, the last person to submit the application will receive a payment a few days after the deadline.
