Siniša Branković (59) from the village of Radenkovac near Sokobanja was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of killing her neighbor and friend Vinka Stojanović (69) in her dilapidated home.
Babic is suspected of smashing the unfortunate woman’s head on Friday, after which he fled through his garden and hid in an abandoned house. Relatives of the murdered woman said they knew Siniša was the murderer. – On Friday, Vinka called her son, with whom she lives, and who was in Sokobanja at the time, and complained to her neighbor. She told him that Siniša approached her with a balloon of wine, that he drank and that he was violent. When the son returned home, he found his mother dead in bed. His head was crushed, he was without clothes and there was blood all over the room – said Vinko Stojanović, the brother of the murdered woman.
Andrijana Savić, the daughter of suspect Siniša, says she is shocked. – My dad may have. He has been drinking for the past 30 years, I have never had a father. So far he has not been aggressive, that is terrible what happened. If you committed a crime, of course you should go to jail. It is difficult for me – said Andrijana, who participated yesterday in the preparation of the funeral.
The investigation will determine the motive for the crime, and the brother of the murdered Vinka says he is sure he sponsored everything with alcohol.
