Popular Apex Legends YouTuber Zeus has shed light on “secret” weapon changes made by Respawn in the recent Season 6 update, specifically regarding the UK-47 Flatline.
As usual with the biggest games in the world, fans are now expecting the biggest meta shakeups with the launch of new seasons. This proved the case again with Apex Legends Season 6, which went live on August 18 and introduced Rampart to the foul.
The full patch notes also confirmed legend adjustments, weapon mood, and changes to the World Edge map.
However, some players have claimed that alterations of secret weapons balance fly under the patch notes. One weapon that was absent during the official changes to the upgrade was the VK-47 Flatline, the heavy ammunition AR that deals significant damage in exchange for moderate recoil.
The Flatline was prior to Apex Legends in Titanfall.
Change of secret Flatline recoil
In a YouTube video from August 21, the popular Apex player Zeus confirms these rumors, stating that the VK-47 Flatline received a reduction from its horizontal record.
The Flatline has always been a weapon with high damage in Apex, but is balanced by its fairly loud recoil. However, this appears to have changed in Season 6, as Zeus and other Flatline players suggest it got a big reduction from its sideways kick.
“Now this is not in patch notes,” he said, “but they have definitely made a change to the Flatline. It now has fewer sideways back. It’s not a conspiracy theory, I’m not the only one saying it. Multiple Flatline “Users have come out of here, and it’s a fact.”

Many players are convinced that the Flatline was buffed in the Season 6 update, despite its omission from the official patch notes of Respawn.
We’ve seen other battle royals, namely Fortnite and Warzone, also omit certain changes to their patch notes, sometimes to the annoyance of players.
