Samsung is hosting an “immersive virtual experience” on September 2, following its decision not to exhibit at Europe’s leading IFA technology show this year. The 45-minute event, which Samsung calls “Life Unstoppable,” will include new product launches for mobile devices, TVs and home appliances, as well as portable and audio commercials.
Although it is one of the largest exhibitors at IFA each year, Samsung tends to save its smallest announcements for the show rather than showcasing major new smartphones or wearables. Last year, for example, its biggest announcements were its new Exynos 980 processor featuring an integrated 5G modem, its redesigned Galaxy Fold, and the mid-range Galaxy A90 5G smartphone. Considering the event will take place less than a month after its unpacked event in August, a similar list of announcements seems likely.
Meanwhile, IFA announced in May that it intends to go ahead with an in-person event this year from September 3-5. However, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, organizers say the event will be by invitation only and closed to the general public, will be divided into four smaller events with limited attendance, and will have public hygiene measures to try to stop The spread of the virus. Digital events will be held in addition to your physical notes.
Samsung’s Life Unstoppable event will take place on September 2 at 9 a.m. M. BST, and will be open to the media, retailers, and industry attendees. CNET reports that the event will be open to everyone after its conclusion on the Samsung website.
