Samsung will hold a big event on August 5, called Unpacked 2020, and the company has already confirmed that it will showcase five new devices at the event, but what will they be?
Well, while nothing is certain yet, we are pretty sure that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be among them, since Samsung generally uses its Unpacked event at this time of year to introduce new models in the Note range.
But that still leaves four other things. Below, we’ll show you the most likely unpacked ads, along with what we know so far about each device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is what we are most sure to see in Unpacked 2020. In fact, it is likely to be the star of the show.
Along with this, we are also likely to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus and / or the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, although there are some doubts about whether both phones exist or if there will only be two Note 20 models.
There’s also the question of whether its five new devices claim Samsung is counting the entire Galaxy Note 20 range as one thing, or whether this represents two (or three) of the planned announcements.
However, there are four other non-Note products that may well appear, as you’ll see below, so we’re only thinking of one.
In any case, although nothing has yet been confirmed about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range, there are many rumors.
Based on this, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is likely to have a 6.7-inch FHD + display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a high-end Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset (depending on your region), 8GB of RAM , 4,300mAh battery and a triple lens camera, with a 12MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle and a 64MP telephoto lens (with 3x optical zoom capability).
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (which seems more likely to launch than the Note 20 Plus) is rumored to have the same chipset and refresh rate, but a larger 6.9-inch QHD + display, 12GB. of RAM, a 4,500 mAh battery, and a triple-lens camera with a 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle and a 12MP periscope (capable of 5x optical zoom).
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range is likely to be the star of the show, those phones may not be the only phones shown by Samsung, or even the most expensive, as the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is also rumored and believed specifically that it will land alongside Note 20 on August 5.
Of course, this is Samsung’s next foldable phone, and rumors suggest that it could actually land as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, to pair it with both the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
In any case, according to other rumors, it looks like the Fold 2 could have a 7.7-inch main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a smaller 6.23-inch secondary.
It could also have a 4,365 mAh battery and a triple-lens main camera with 64MP, 16MP and 12MP sensors. Not much news on power, but a high-end Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset is likely.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3
Beyond phones, another thing Samsung could reveal is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. This would be a successor to the original Galaxy Watch, but rumors suggest that instead of calling it Galaxy Watch 2, Samsung will jump straight to 3.
In any case, based on leaks, it seems likely that this next wearable device will come in two sizes, have a physical rotating bezel (like its predecessor), and include 8GB of storage, GPS, LTE (probably as an optional feature), and 5 Endurance. to ATM water. It will probably also have the ECG function that shipped with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and has not been activated yet.
So far it looks like it could be a fairly modest update to its predecessor, but one that is long overdue, given that the original Galaxy Watch launched in August 2018. And who knows, maybe Samsung has some surprises planned for the wearable device.
It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 3 is also rumored, so it might as well be announced or not, but we haven’t heard much about that recently, making it seem less likely.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7
Samsung could also unveil a tablet at its Unpacked event, specifically the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, as this device has been widely leaked, so it will presumably be coming soon. As with the Note 20, this could also be multiple devices, with a rumored Tab S7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.
In any case, leaks suggest that the standard Galaxy Tab S7 might have an 11-inch 1600 x 2560 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a high-end Snapdragon 865 chipset, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing , 128GB of storage and an 8,000 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the larger Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus could have a 12.4-inch 1752 x 2800 display with an on-screen fingerprint scanner, a high-end Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, a dual-lens rear camera with 13MP sensors, and 5MP, a 5MP front with front camera and a 10,090 mAh battery.
A report has also suggested that while the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will have an OLED display, the basic Tab S7 would use LCD, which could mark it as a distinctly smaller device and probably much cheaper.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live
In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is rumored to land before unpacking, but Samsung itself has specifically mocked the presence of a portable device, making the Galaxy Buds Live our best guess of what it could be.
This is the rumored rival of Samsung’s Apple AirPods, which according to the leaks could have a distinctive bean shape, along with noise cancellation technology and even some fitness tracking features, such as the ability to measure distance, speed , time and activity level. and changes in heart rate.
Or maybe something else
While the above devices are our best guesses from what we’ll see in Unpacked 2020, and in many cases it’s been rumored specifically for it, there’s still nothing certain, so we might be wrong about some or even all (although if at least let’s not see the Galaxy Note 20 there we will eat our phones).
Still, some of the other devices may not appear, and we can also see other things or instead. We suggest that you don’t expect too many surprises, as near the event we would have expected most things to leak, but anything is possible.
