More images of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Buds Live have been leaked, showing the design of true bean-shaped wireless headphones, as well as some of the colors we can expect them to fit into.
Featured filter-maker Evan Blass posted a set of two images to his Patreon account, which were quickly picked up by 9to5Google, and give us our most detailed glimpse of upcoming AirPods rivals so far.
The images show the buttons in white, black, and a pretty sleek bronze color, with that unique bean shape that looks very different from most wireless headphones on the market right now.
Those colors match the images on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20; We expect the new wireless headphones to go on sale alongside the Note 20 at Samsung’s August 5 unpacked event, so it makes sense for the company to launch its new products in corresponding colors.
However, we expect the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live to be announced sooner; a report from SamMobile suggested they will launch in July.
Possible noise cancellation
We also got our first look at the Galaxy Buds Live’s charging case, which features a rounded design and what looks like an LED battery indicator light on the front.
Judging from the images, each earpiece has two microphones, which could be an indication of noise canceling technology, as well as the ability to use these earphones to take calls and summon the voice assistant on your device.
Noise cancellation is a feature we’d love to see on Galaxy Buds Live; After all, we were disappointed when its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, were released without noise cancellation, and could make them a compelling rival for AirPods Pro and Sony WF-1000XM3.
We also look forward to seeing some nifty fitness tracking features from the new headphones. A trademark filing discovered earlier this year (via Lets Go Digital) revealed some of the features we could see on the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, including “software to measure distance, speed, time, changes in heart rate, activity level, calories burned. ” “
It’s worth bearing in mind that the specs outlined in trademark submissions don’t always appear in the final product, but these biometric sensors could make the new Galaxy Buds a great pair of working headphones like the Powerbeats Pro.
Nothing is known about the price yet, but the Galaxy Buds Plus went on sale in March for $ 149.99 / £ 159 / AU $ 299, so we’re expecting something similar when the next headphones arrive.
That figure has been endorsed by SamMobile, which reported that the outbreaks will cost “less than $ 150.”
Samsung users can also go online for a discount, according to the SamMobile report, which says, “Naturally, we can expect Galaxy Buds Live in bean form to be offered for free or at a reduced price as part of the pre-order. bonuses for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 “.
Let’s hope we don’t wait too long for all of these rumors to be confirmed or rebuked, and with rumors that the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro Lite are heating up, Samsung could have a real wireless battle on their hands by the end of 2020.
