Ronald Koeman says his move to Barcelona could be finalized today, but has admitted it is not the best timing in the world.
The Dutch coach is expected to leave his job with the national team of the Netherlands and take over from Quique Setien on a first two-year contract.
Koeman has previously been uneasy about leaving his current role, but it seems pretty certain now he will become the next Barcelona boss.
‘I can not say much until everything is signed. It’s about the details now, but it could very well be that it becomes definitive today. ”
‘I did not expect things to go so fast, and it is not the best timing. It also took me by surprise, but Barcelona is the only club for which I had a release clause in my contract. It’s ugly for the Dutch FA (KNVB), but not unexpected. ”

Barcelona are apparently negotiating their departure with the Dutch Federation. Koeman has a contract that runs until 2022 and denied the chance to replace Ernesto Valverde in January.
