The plane, belonging to the American company Omni Air, had 84 people on board, including military personnel, and it came from Kabul. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The aircraft, registered N423AX, landed at 14:55 at Baneasa Airport after a 5 1/2 hour flight from Kabul, Afghanistan.

After refueling, the plane will take off for Washington DC in the United States.

“An aircraft that was making a special regime flight had problems with the main gear when landing, so it blocked the runway. 84 passengers were safely evacuated. Firefighters and an ambulance were present, no intervention was necessary. Now they are investigating those of AIAS (Civil Aviation Safety Investigation and Analysis Authority), ”said Valentin Iordache, spokesman for the Bucharest National Airports Company.
