Prime Minister Ludovic Orban declared this Monday, after the suspension of the plenary session in which the motion of censure should have been voted, that there is no counterpart between the PNL and the PSD. The prime minister thanked the parliamentarians who did not support the motion and specified that no colleague of his had negotiated with Carmen Dan.
A madman throws a stone and a hundred wise men … What countertop? When they did everything possible to get people to vote. They did not succeed. Individual debates were held with many parliamentarians. No one spoke to Ms. Carmen Dan. I had many discussions with parliamentarians who were in the ALDE. I convinced some, not others, ”said Ludovic Orban.
The Prime Minister thanked the parliamentarians who support the Government.
“As regards the Government, we consider that what happened today is extremely beneficial for Romania. The government has to face challenges and needs full exercise capacity to solve the problems facing Romania. There was a majority that supported us and understood that Romania needs a government, I thank you for being with us. The vast majority that accompanied us are the parliamentarians of the USR, PMP UDMR, minorities who considered that it is not the case to embark on this adventure “, the prime minister also declared.
Ludovic Orban specified that if the vote on the motion is rescheduled in the ordinary parliamentary session, which begins on Tuesday, he is considering filing a new appeal to the RCC.
“If they do, we will notify the RCC. You cannot play with the motions of censure. If they want it to be in the constitutional framework, it is a new session, they can present it again,” Orban also declared.
The Plenary in which the motion of censure was debated and voted on was suspended for lack of a quorum. 233 parliamentarians should have been present at the plenary session. The opposition was able to gather only 226 deputies.
