WhatsApp will no longer work on millions of old phones in 2021 if the application is not updated. Some year old smartphone users will not be able to message friends and family on WhatsApp without updating the app, Daily Star reports, according to Stirileprotv.ro.

Android users who do not have operating system 4.0.3 or newer fall into the category of those who need to update the application.
Unfortunately, WhatsApp will no longer fully work for people who still use an iPhone 4 or earlier and some Android devices, including Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy S2.
Anyone who has an old phone and wants to continue using the application should update their operating system.
Android users can do this by going to “Settings” and clicking “About phone.”
For those with iPhone devices, they can go to “Settings”, choose “General”, then “About” to check if they use the latest version.
