The images were captured shortly after the first call to 112. The flames could also be on the balcony of the apartment on the sixth floor of the building, and thick smoke spread throughout Colentina Boulevard. Panic soon engulfed everyone on the block, after smoke flooded the staircase.

“There was a lot of smoke coming out, but the intervention was quick. People were very scared. There is also a scaffolding at the back, because the block is being uncovered and people have come out, ”said a woman.

“Suddenly a huge black smoke came out, a few more blows were heard, plaster began to fall, the firemen fought, they came with as many cars as they could. I called my neighbor to get her off the block because the apartment that caught fire is right next to her, ”said a young woman.

“People came out of the stairs, on the scaffolding, they left the apartments, because you couldn’t breathe anymore, it caught fire! Caught fire! I opened the front door, but couldn’t breathe. It was smoke like burned plastic, black, you couldn’t breathe and I sat on the back of the balcony until the firefighters came and put out the commotion, I came out of the smoke and I managed to get down, ”said another tenant.

Firefighters responded quickly with 11 trucks.

To intervene in an extremely crowded area, firefighters had to park in the first lane, so soon, the police restricted traffic and the exit area outside Bucharest became completely inaccessible to other cars, which have had to go in the tram line.

Shortly after the fire was extinguished, tempers heated up after tenants demanded an account from the people who had rented the apartment from which the fire started.

In just a few seconds, no less than 20 police vehicles intervened, including special forces fighters.

– They jumped into the fight. The husband left with neighbors, who held them until the police arrived, a woman said.

– Yes, about 5 or 6 entered the house.

– Why did they jump into the scandal?

“I don’t know, but the downstairs neighbor yelled for the police to come.”

– They had a conflict with him, because they destroyed his whole house.

Four people, who caused the scandal, were handcuffed and taken to be interrogated at Police Station VII.
