Prime Minister Florin Cîţu stated that the Government has adopted an emergency ordinance whereby the wages of miners in the Jiu Valley can be paid for a period of three months. I am also in contact with the prefect there and with the Minister of Energy, we will see what the solutions are on the way. When asked what the long-term solution is, at the Hunedoara Energy Complex, Florin Cîţu said that he is waiting for a restructuring plan from the Ministry of Energy.

“I am waiting for a plan. We are successful in Tarom, where a restructuring plan was approved, Tarom is sticking to that plan and the amounts keep increasing and we hope to return to profit soon. I am still waiting for a plan from the Ministry of Energy,” he said. Cîţu.
