On Sunday, the National Committee for Emergency Situations adopted Decision number 1 on the approval of the list of countries at epidemiological risk for which the quarantine measure is established for people arriving in Romania from them.

In addition to updating the list of states and areas considered to be of high epidemiological risk, the Decision provides for the resumption of flights to and from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Furthermore, people coming from this state must go into quarantine or have a negative test for Covid-19, carried out no later than 48 hours before entering Romania.

Measures taken on Sunday:

– From 04.01.2021 at 7:00 p.m., it is allowed to resume flights to / from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from / to Romania, for all airports in Romania.

– All persons arriving in Romania from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland must present, upon entering the country, the certificate of a rapid antigenic test or negative RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2, performed within 48 hours hours. before the date of entry into the country.

– Exceptions to the quarantine measure imposed on persons arriving from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will only apply to:

a) drivers of goods vehicles with a maximum authorized capacity of more than 2.4 tons;

b) drivers of motor vehicles for the transport of persons with more than 9 seats, including the driver’s seat;

c) the controllers provided in let. a) and letter b) that move with the interest of exercising their profession in their state of residence in another member state of the European Union or in another state of the European Union in the state of residence, regardless of whether the placement is carried out by individual means or on their own;

d) aircraft pilots and flight crew;

e) people in transit, if they leave Romania within 24 hours of entering the country;

f) members of diplomatic missions, consular offices and other diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, holders of diplomatic passports, personnel assimilated to diplomatic personnel, as well as members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of Romania and holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as members of their families
